You own data that You wish to display on a map?
You need spatial data about a specific area for analysis or statistics? Or want to display Your hiking route on a map? We have map data to solve all these and many other problems.
To make maps EOMAP has a full collection of spatial data that is updated every day. At the moment there are 9 employees in EOMAP Geodata AS GIS department who are working to provide most up to date information. They update and specify data in current database and create new data layers and outputs.
EOMAP started creating its spatial data collection in the beginning of 2006. By today we have collected all data in a single unified database which is meant to collect, manage, process, analyze and visualize spatial data. Database is also a basis to organize field works since it is not possible to keep information accurate by only sitting in the office.
Database is used by all employees of the company – GIS specialists, cartographers, developers and field workers.
We have different partners thanks to whom our data is more accurate:
• Estonian Land Board • Estonian Road Administration • Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications • Ministry of the Environment • Tourist information centres • Specialists of local municipalities • Different departments of Tallinn and other city governments • Transport companies and logistics • Private companies(Elion AS, Alphagis OÜ etc.) • Planning companies (Hendrikson&KO)
Database includes spatial data of the entire Estonian territory:
• Roads, railroads • Address points, buildings • Cadastre units • Administrative units • Tourist information centres • Various layers of land cover – land use, Base Map land cover information • Nature reserves • Etc.
Information in the database can be used to create maps with different scales.
Information of data: • .shp, .tab, .dgn • Accuracy: 1:5000 – 1:50 000
Examples of maps created by using our database:
1) Folded maps and atlases (with red covers) 2) Different wall maps and special order maps 3) Web-maps – i.e www.tallinn.ee/kaart, kaart.postimees.ee 4) GPS-maps – for Garmin type devices
GIS and accurate spatial data is helpful tool for city planners, architects, police, constructors, conservationists etc.
